Event brand design identity illustration and production across multiple print and digital media for a yearly family-friendly municipal festival. We conceptualized a folk-style custom illustration set for this family-friendly annual celebration, a beloved project of New Orleans’ First Lady Cheryl Landrieu. The illustrations, which served as event branding identity, depict the flora, fauna, culture, and cuisine of New Orleans, with nocturnal and diurnal flair (representing the two days of the festival).
The modular graphic elements were used in many applications, from flyers and signage of different dimensions down to teensy social media graphics. The event brand design took its most dynamic form at nolabookfest.org, where the developer added animations which shifted when scrolling.
Branding: visual identity
Digital: web ads, Snapchat geofilter, Evite, social media covers, digital billboard
Print: flyer, poster, kiosk sign, program, newspaper ads, map
Environmental: sponsor signs, wayfinding signs, tent/vendor/stage banners
“Not only did Julia bring an abundance of creativity to bear, she was able to consistently deliver on time and within budget. She is highly professional and responsive. And her design helped establish a consistent look and feel that enriched our event marketing efforts.”
