Project

Interactive digital design for this website map and guide of NOLA DNA‘s alternative history of printers and printing presses in Downtown New Orleans. An auxiliary event to the 2015 AIGA Design Conference, the Print History tour is a walking timeline through decades of New Orleans’ material culture: printers, printing companies, publishers, small presses, and publications.

The site itself combines StoryMapJS with Mapbox Studio to incorporate text, links, images and video in a mobile-friendly, responsive sequence that participants can refer to while walking the tour.

Components

Branding: visual identity

Digital: website design and development, data integration

Testimonial

“Working with Keir and Julia was nothing short of inspirational. They built and styled a mobile-friendly site from the ground up that was in turn utilized by conference attendees with great ease. Their work allowed for simple and concise content management, making my work on the project straightforward and trouble free. Building a trustworthy team that will execute a project to its fullest vision can be difficult, but these are the designers that will get you there.”
